Position Summary The Compliance Project Management Intern will support McKesson’s Compliance Automation & Strategy team in driving enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen compliance effectiveness, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys organizing complex information, managing timelines, improving processes, building cross-functional relationships, and supporting technology-enabled solutions. You will gain hands-on project management experience while contributing to meaningful work that helps protect McKesson, our customers, and the patients we serve.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program (Business, Project Management, Compliance, IT, Data Analytics, Operations, or related field preferred)
- Rising junior or senior preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Interest or coursework in project management, process improvement, compliance, or operations
- Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Curiosity and willingness to learn compliance operations and automation tools
Nice To Haves
- Experience with MS Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams); exposure to project tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, JIRA, or MS Project) is a plus
- Familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, tracking, and executing compliance automation and strategy projects from initiation through completion
- Support project timelines, workplans, milestones, and deliverables
- Prepare project documentation including meeting agendas, summaries, status reports, and action logs
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners such as Compliance, IT, Audit, Operations, HR, and Legal
- Help identify and document opportunities to streamline compliance workflows
- Support process mapping, gap analyses, and requirements gathering
- Partner with the team to evaluate and implement automation tools, dashboards, and digital solutions
- Assist with testing, user acceptance, and improvements to compliance technology platforms
- Develop and maintain project trackers, metrics, and dashboards
- Support evaluation of compliance program data, trends, and KPIs
- Help prepare executive-ready presentations and updates related to project progress
- Participate in team meetings and cross-functional discussions
- Help manage communication plans for project rollouts or process changes
- Build strong, professional relationships across the organization
