About The Position

This position will gain hands-on site experience and mentorship from a Project Manager. The position will complete all assigned tasks to help ensure projects are successful. They will work with the internal team by following standards, practices, and schedules that result in value-added projects being on-time, on budget and ultimately forming lasting relationships with our customers. The Project Management Intern will gain knowledge of budgeting, policies and safety, project submittals, effective communication, and much more through working with an internal team, architects, owners, clients, facility staff, and others involved in the construction process. The intern will complete other duties and responsibilities assigned to assist the project team and ensure a successful project completion.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Junior or Senior status preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to listen carefully and work well on a team.
  • Have the desire to learn quickly and grow professionally within the field.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Proven ability to maintain excellent integrity and ethical standards within the role.
  • Position requires regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and vision.
  • Position frequently requires climbing/balancing and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Position occasionally requires kneeling and crouching and the ability to lift and carry over 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in successfully maintaining project budget and schedule.
  • Assist in coordinating on-site project team, contractors, vendors, schedule, owner correspondence, client-relations, drawing management, approvals, materials, and deliveries.
  • Ensures and maintains culture of safety on project site.
  • Ensures necessary permits are obtained from corresponding agencies.
  • Work with owner and facility staff to ensure understanding of construction process, project progress, timelines, schedule, and budget.
  • Follows internal process, policies, and delivery methods for construction projects.
  • Effectively communicates and works with internal team including site superintendent, project director, and project coordinator.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
