About The Position

This position will support project managers, superintendents, and executives in the coordination and management of construction projects. The project management intern will observe and monitor the company’s processes and develop the essential skills necessary to be successful within the construction industry.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering-related degree with completion of at least one year of classes or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and experience with Bluebeam
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to multitask and work efficiently both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a desire to continuously learn and improve.

Nice To Haves

• knowledge of project management software is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to assigned project manager mentor and project superintendent.
• Accurately completes project plan updates and changes within the company’s document management software. Continuously compares project submittals to plans and analyzes inconsistencies.
• Conducts research and writes Requests for Information (RFIs) for company clients.
• Supports field team members by coordinating deliveries and scheduling subcontractors.
• Assists assigned project manager mentor with necessary tasks in the building process, which include the organization of project closeouts, punch lists, and drawings; daily project site reporting; capturing in-progress photos; conducting safety inspection audits; and estimating potential change orders.
• Learns and understands the essential knowledge required for planning, coordinating, and managing projects.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
