About The Position

Chinchor Electric, Inc. is a family-owned and operated commercial and industrial electrical contractor with 40 years in business. They specialize in Heavy Industrial Electrical, Highway Lighting, and Traffic Signalization projects, working with both corporate clients and government entities. The company has two locations in Orange City and St. Augustine and serves the entire state of Florida. They have been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Orlando Sentinel in 2024 and 2025. Chinchor Electric is seeking a motivated and hardworking Project Management Assistant/Administrative Assistant for their new St. Augustine location.

Requirements

Experience with construction-related operational systems.
Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
Proficient in data entry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Self-motivated, takes initiative, and takes ownership for tasks completed.
3+ years of experience in an office setting (construction background preferred).
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual preferred.
Associate’s degree in business preferred.

Responsibilities

Order and track material and lead times/delivery dates, create purchase orders.
Complete project-specific utility locates and track project progress.
Handle telephone and routing of all incoming calls.
Sort through and distribute all incoming mail & send outgoing mail daily.
Coordinate purchasing & tracking of the current on-hand office supplies.
Copies, sorts, and files records (manually or electronically) related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters.
Other related duties as assigned or needed.
