About The Position

HII has an immediate opportunity for an Acquisition Program Manager Analyst supporting the Propulsion Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The candidate will provide a full range of program management support in accordance with DoDD 5000.01, Defense Acquisition System, DoDI 5000.02, Adaptive Acquisition Framework, and AFI 63-101/20-101, Integrated Life Cycle Management guidance and will serve as an adviser to government personnel. Duties will include planning, executing, and controlling acquisition programs through all phases of the acquisition life cycle. The ideal candidate for this position is self-motivated, possesses broad U.S. Air Force acquisition experience, is comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative work environment, and can identify and prioritize necessary tasks/activities to ensure program and organizational success.

Requirements

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • Broad knowledge and demonstrated application of DoD and Air Force program management policies and procedures on an ACAT III or higher modification program on a major weapon system
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and a part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Minimum active Secret clearance

  • Comprehensive experience developing and maintaining spreadsheets for tracking and analysis
  • Knowledge of Propulsion systems in support of subsystem definition, development, integration, and testing
  • Knowledge of Requirements development and verification methods to include review of ICD, sustainment, T&E, system architectures, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems
  • Knowledge of Policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management as defined in Department of Defense Instruction 5000.02 and Air Force Instruction 63-101/20-101
  • Experience with Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) development and validation
  • Experience reviewing and/or developing AF Form 1067 (Modification Proposals)
  • Experience fielding new and updated aircraft systems

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of documentation of acquisition strategies
  • Assist in the development of program documentation as identified in AFI 63-101/20-101, Integrated Life Cycle Management
  • Assist in the development of Statements of Work or Performance Work Statements and other Request for Proposal documents
  • Support technical evaluation of program proposals
  • Support identification, analysis, mitigation development, and monitoring of program risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Support development and analysis of program Integrated Master Schedules
  • Support analysis of program cost performance (Earned Value Management) and implementation of corrective actions
