About The Position

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. The PMA for this roll shall have responsibility in assisting in AUKUS USIS project. The role shall participate in assisting, as a Shipbuilder representative, in working groups, Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings, other meetings and conferences, special advisory boards, offsites, and audit teams needed to support the USIS program. This role shall assist in the delivery of the monthly Contract Status Report (Program Management in conjunction with Engineering IDT Leads); Monthly Contract Status Report Manpower Estimates Including out-year projections for contractor and partner nation engineer shipyard support and life-cycle cost estimating to be approved by the AUKUS I&A office. Projected shipbuilder staffing demands for ship design work (Staffing Plan) DSEA Foreign Visitor Request Security / Badging Support Meeting’s for all areas and provide Back- Up support

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Final Clearance Required to Start

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of submarine construction
  • Previous experience in an international program or other off-site facilities/programs
  • Previous experience working with NAVY Customers
  • Candidate must possess a strong understanding of concurrent techniques associated with Engineering and Design/Build/Sustain process
  • Strong relationship building characteristics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel support Programmatic meetings in the UK, EB, NNL, DC
