About The Position

The NNS Model Based Engineering (E92-MBE) team is seeking an experienced project manager to lead major Digital Engineering projects and support strategic program execution. In this role, you will manage multiple large, complex engineering projects and ensure they meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives. You will support budget oversight, schedule management, risk tracking, and progress reporting. You will develop and execute detailed project plans, including scope definition, schedules, integrated master plans, and resource needs. You will drive execution of current-year goals, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and formal reporting. You will prepare proposals, ROMs, cost estimates, and funding requests that support future-year planning. You will collaborate with engineering teams, functional partners, supply chain, program stakeholders, and external customers. You will deliver clear and professional project briefings, updates, and presentations to leadership and customer groups. You will lead project meetings by preparing agendas, capturing meaningful notes, and ensuring action items are tracked and closed. You will maintain accurate project documentation, dashboards, and artifacts throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
