About The Position

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree, or any combination of formal education, training and experience equivalent to 10 years involvement in technically demanding program or project assignments.
  • Knowledge of project management fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering processes that complement project management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in resource organization and allocation, planning and budgeting, continuous quality and process improvement, configuration management, setting and measurement of program goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must qualify for and maintain a government Security Clearance, to include Top Secret (TS), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP).
  • Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license.
  • Knowledge of military flying operations, and theories and principles of operational range management, planning, coordinating and execution.
  • Ability to research rotary and fixed wing aircraft subsystems sufficient for required flight test safety information.
  • Knowledge of the requirements, methods, techniques, and procedures pertinent to flight safety.
  • Detailed understanding of military training ranges and methods used for aircrew training, scheduling, and control.
  • Familiarity and/or experience with Joint Integrated Test and Training Center Nellis (JITTC-N) operations and the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE).
  • Knowledge of environmental issues, state and local government statutes, principles, practices, procedures, laws, regulations and current legislative issues affecting range operations.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Detailed understanding of Simulated Integrated Air Defense System (IADS) integration and techniques preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Air Force Manual 13-212 Volume 1, Air Combat Command (ACC) Supplement, NTTR Addendum A preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Nevada Test and Training Range Operations Directorate (NTTR/DO) with the overall planning, direction, and execution of aircrew test and training operations on the NTTR.
  • Interface directly with a variety of Government agencies as required.
  • Conduct, apply, and adapt qualitative and quantitative techniques and develop, adapt, modify and apply methods to solve training and test operational support problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.
  • Lead small to medium size projects of moderate complexity supporting Company and customer requirements.
  • Assist Project and/or Program Managers with the daily conduct of large project/program activities including priority determinations, resource management and leveling, developing/reviewing/approving project documentation, maintaining project portfolios, establishing/executing/reporting on project budgets, managing project risk, monitoring/controlling/re-planning projects, providing project status through reviews, annotating lessons learned, and archiving project data.
  • Administer Work Management System (WMS) activities through the use of identified scheduling tools.
  • Follow company and Government processes and procedures to maintain accountability and responsibility for project schedule, budget, and requirements to deliver projects on time meeting required budget.
  • Recruit and hire appropriate technical personnel to ensure the accomplishment of project requirements.
  • Use established policies, procedures, and subject matter knowledge to complete assignments of medium complexity that vary in nature and sequence.
  • Perform other related Project assignments as requested.
