About The Position

Collectiv is seeking a results-driven Project Lead Consultant to lead client-facing data and AI initiatives from discovery through delivery. The role combines project leadership, business analysis, stakeholder management, and knowledge of modern data platforms and reporting solutions. The Project Lead partners with clients and cross-functional teams to define requirements, guide solution design, manage scope and timelines, and deliver high-quality analytics solutions that support better business decisions. The position requires strong communication and consulting skills, along with the ability to translate business needs into practical, scalable solutions. Collectiv is a boutique consulting and strategy firm specializing in Analytics, Planning, and AI with Power BI and the Microsoft Data Stack. Its mission is to help enterprises make better decisions. The position is fully remote, with quarterly in-person team experiences, and offers professional development and a competitive benefits package.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
At least 3 years of project management experience, including managing projects using the Microsoft Data stack, including Power BI.
Strong project management skills and a track record of successfully leading projects to completion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
Leadership abilities and experience managing project teams.
Experience understanding and translating business requirements into actionable project plans.
Proficiency in data analysis, database queries such as SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Strong understanding of business processes, project management, and IT methodologies, including Agile.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
Ability to stay updated on industry trends and apply that knowledge to improve project outcomes.

Nice To Haves

Project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or CSM.
Microsoft or data analytics certifications, particularly in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or related technologies.
Experience in consulting or client-facing analytics delivery environments.

Responsibilities

Lead data and analytics projects from initiation through delivery, managing scope, timelines, resources, budget, and risks.
Provide direction, coaching, and support to cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
Build client relationships by understanding business goals, facilitating discussions, and providing strategic guidance on data and analytics solutions.
Elicit, assess, and clarify business needs through stakeholder interviews, process review, and analysis to define project objectives and solution requirements.
Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and technical specifications for solution design and development.
Oversee solution design and delivery to ensure technical approaches align with business objectives, quality standards, and user expectations.
Coordinate integration of data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and readiness for reporting and analysis.
Guide development of intuitive, visually effective dashboards and reports aligned with client reporting needs.
Facilitate knowledge transfer, user enablement, and ongoing support to help clients adopt and use delivered solutions.
Review deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and quality, and address issues to meet project and client standards.
Stay current on data, analytics, and Microsoft ecosystem trends to inform project delivery, innovation, and strategic recommendations.
