About The Position

The Project Labor Foreman is responsible for assisting in the management of daily project activities to include clean up, safety enforcement, coordination of project deliveries and subcontractor activities in accordance with Holland Partner Group’s Core Values. This role supports the Superintendent staff by coordinating deliveries, traffic control, and subcontractor activities. The Foreman will also play a role in interior finishes, quality control, and punch list processes, and will direct and manage field labor forces. A key aspect of this role is monitoring and enforcing project safety requirements and performing various construction labor tasks.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and speak English is required for safety and productivity reasons.
  • Five years construction related experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to solve problems using available resources.
  • Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read an interpret construction documents.
  • Ability to plan, direct and organize the work of labor crews of varying sizes toward the completion of specific project goals.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety requirements within construction industry.
  • Must be proactive, flexible, responsible and resourceful.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.
  • Ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and develop a working knowledge of company used software such as Procore.
  • Current OSHA 30-hour safety course certificate required or ability to obtain a certificate within six months of hire date.
  • The certificate must be renewed on or before five years of the original issued date.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in concrete, wood, steel, stud framing, drywall and structural steel erection preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Superintendent staff, assist in coordinating deliveries and traffic control requirements to the staging area, tower crane and the man / material lift with the project subcontractors.
  • Maintain close communication with the project superintendents to understand and assist with project priorities and flow.
  • Track delivery dates and content delivered to the job site.
  • Assist with coordination of subcontractors.
  • Coordinate deliveries to staging area and construction use of project elevators as demand reduces for delivery scheduling (the tower crane and man / material lift are removed from the project).
  • Assume a role in the execution of interior finishes, quality control and punch list processes for the building as may be directed by the Superintendent.
  • Direct and manage Holland field labor forces or temporary labor as assigned by the Superintendent.
  • Assist in the monitoring and enforcement of project safety requirements.
  • Perform various types of construction labor including but not limited to: general framing, clean-up, drywall, painting, caulk, minor fixture installation, trenching and plaster work. This work will be performed on ladders, scaffolds during and after the general construction process.
  • Monitor, enforce and maintain job safety for the project by supporting and participating in all safety programs, ensuring all crew is using required safety equipment and continually monitoring the job site to ensure safety requirements are met in accordance with Holland safety polices.
  • Provide administrative support with project orientations and manpower documentation.
  • Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times.
  • Conform to company apparel standards and set a positive example for all associates.
  • Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort in any way possible.
