Hanson Professional Services•Springfield, IL

About The Position

Hanson’s 2027 Project Internship is intended for early-year students in engineering programs who want broad-based civil engineering learning and practical experience in consulting. Project interns typically support one or two experienced professionals in a specific market, shadow real project operations, and complete assignments that contribute to larger projects. Interns observe the routines and expectations of an engineering project manager and report day-to-day to that project manager. They may also participate in activities and events that help build connections across Hanson and with other interns, while gaining technical and administrative exposure that can prepare them for future discipline-specific internships. The role is open to students actively enrolled in an eligible engineering or pre-engineering program who have completed at least their first year as a full-time student. The hourly pay range for undergraduates is $21–$26. Hanson describes an inclusive, diverse workplace and offers career-development opportunities and employee benefits.
