We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Inspector to join our Kauai team. This role involves construction observation and testing of various activities to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and contract specifications. The position may require technical training or equivalent certification.

Requirements

Minimum: High school diploma
5+ years of construction field inspection experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Proficient with documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, photo files
Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools.
Basic math skills including measurement and estimation.
Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Clear and concise oral and written communication abilities.
Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
State certifications in Concrete, Asphalt, and Soils & Aggregate preferred.
experienced with Bluebeam, HeadLight, and Copilot preferred.

Responsibilities

Observe and test construction activities for compliance with codes, permits, and specifications.
Perform inspections of processes, systems, structures, and utilities.
Maintain detailed documentation including daily reports, record drawings, and final files.
Assist in reviewing contractor progress payments.
Communicate clearly with clients, contractors, and team members.
Travel to different job sites and work in varied field conditions.
