Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Obtain all necessary equipment and supplies before proceeding to your assigned work area to ensure a smooth start.
  • Operate housekeeping equipment appropriate for each task and promptly notify your supervisor of any equipment needing repair.
  • Consistently practice standard infection control procedures and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when required to maintain a safe environment.
  • Follow all established safety rules and procedures and immediately report any safety concerns or hazards to your supervisor.
  • Return unused supplies to the appropriate storage area at the end of each shift to keep inventory orderly.
  • Keep carts, closets, and equipment clean, neat, and orderly at all times; ensure housekeeping carts are securely locked if unattended.
  • Follow established procedures and use the correct chemicals and equipment for every task to ensure effective and safe cleaning.
  • Maintain equipment in proper working order by performing basic preventive care as needed to avoid downtime.
  • Utilize WorxHub software for billing, scheduling, and quality reporting to stay organized and efficient.
  • Clean elder rooms, baths, offices, halls, and other areas with thorough attention to detail.
  • Assist with moving furniture to facilitate deep cleaning and rearrangement.
  • Wash beds and mattresses and remake beds on scheduled days or as requested, ensuring resident comfort.
  • Wash walls, ceiling tile grids, doors, baseboards, windows, stairwells, vents, and furniture as directed to maintain a pristine environment.
  • Change curtains, blinds, draperies, and shower curtains as assigned to keep spaces fresh and inviting.
  • Scrub, strip, and polish hard surface floors as assigned to maintain their appearance and longevity.
  • Collect trash and recycling from all facility areas and transport them to designated disposal points.
  • Dust high vents, cabinets, and other furnishings to maintain cleanliness and air quality.
  • Shampoo carpets, furniture, and mats as assigned, using extractors for deep cleaning when necessary.
  • Perform regular floor care, including vacuuming, dust mopping, and damp mopping floors in rooms, corridors, entrances, stairwells, and other assigned areas.
  • Assist with moving equipment and furniture for cleaning, office rearrangement, or relocation purposes.
