About The Position

The Project Hand is an essential member of RMR Mechanical's High Purity and Passivation team, responsible for supporting the successful execution of projects through equipment setup, chemical handling, flushing operations, and jobsite maintenance. This position requires a dependable, safety-conscious, and hardworking individual who demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship. Employees are expected to represent RMR Mechanical with integrity while contributing to a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous industrial, construction, manufacturing, or mechanical experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for project assignments, including overnight travel when necessary.
  • Ability to work safely in varying weather conditions and industrial environments.
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must be able to successfully pass all required pre-employment and customer-required screenings.
  • Demonstrates exceptional reliability, dependability, and accountability.
  • Maintains a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic while representing RMR Mechanical.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized High Purity and Passivation processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project priorities and work effectively in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of High Purity and Passivation equipment and systems.
  • Handle hoses, pumps, filtration systems, tanks, piping, and other project-related equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in the mixing, transferring, and handling of approved chemicals while strictly following established safety procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Support flushing, passivation, preservation, and other high-purity system cleaning activities under the direction of project leadership.
  • Monitor equipment performance and communicate any concerns or irregularities to supervisors promptly.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas throughout each project.
  • Load, unload, organize, and properly care for company tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and inspection of company equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Follow all company and customer safety requirements, including PPE, confined space entry, lockout/tagout, hazard communication, and other applicable procedures.
  • Travel to customer job sites as required, which may include extended travel assignments.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and reliability by reporting to work on time, maintaining regular attendance, and being prepared to perform assigned duties each day.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while working collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other trades.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success and operational needs.
