About The Position

The Project/Field Superintendent supervises General Foremen and oversees site activities related to electrical work, which may include laying out, installing, and repairing wiring, wireways, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. The role plans and tracks work for safety and efficiency, manages foremen and assigned craft workers, supports the Project Manager with company standard operating procedures, and ensures work quality and compliance with specifications, schedules, safety requirements, and customer requirements. Regular attendance is required.

Requirements

Electrical journeyman-level qualification with at least 5 years of experience.
At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a refinery.

Responsibilities

Conduct frequent safety inspections of work areas, equipment, tools, and employees to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and company safety policies.
Plan work for safety and efficiency, then execute and track the plan.
Manage the activities of Foremen and assigned craft workers.
Support the Project Manager with company standard operating procedures, including scheduling, productivity tracking, and change management.
Inspect completed systems and finished work for conformance to specifications.
Interpret electrical specifications, blueprints, and job orders for the supervised work area.
Communicate company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules, considering equipment capacity and assigned personnel.
Review schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion.
Attend project planning and scheduling meetings.
Analyze and resolve work problems.
Maintain time records.
Recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
Maintain regular attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
