About The Position

The Project Executive (PX) is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the company’s project portfolio and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. This position drives client development, operational excellence, and financial performance while shaping company culture and standards, including The Heatherwood Way. The PX plays a critical role in expanding market presence, developing key relationships, and leading high-performing teams across multiple projects. This position will be located in the Tampa Bay area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of commercial construction experience, including executive or senior leadership roles.
  • Proven track record managing large project portfolios while delivering sustained profitability.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, client acquisition, and market expansion.
  • Experience influencing company-wide strategy, operational excellence, and organizational growth.
  • High-level business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Executive leadership with the ability to lead multiple teams and large project portfolios.
  • Deep expertise in portfolio-level financial oversight, budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and risk management.
  • Strong operational leadership with the ability to align people, processes, and business strategy.
  • Executive stakeholder management, client development, negotiation, and relationship building.
  • Business development, client acquisition, and market expansion.
  • Strategic planning and organizational leadership.
  • Ability to drive long-term growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
  • Certified General Contractor (Florida) – Active and in good standing

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire project portfolio, ensuring alignment with company strategy, financial targets, and organizational goals.
  • Provide executive oversight across multiple commercial construction projects, ensuring performance in budget, schedule, quality, and safety.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Senior Project Managers and project teams, driving alignment, accountability, and high performance.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Bring established Tampa market experience and relationships to enhance client engagement, support strategic growth initiatives, and strengthen the company’s market presence.
  • Leverage an established industry network within the Tampa market to identify new business opportunities, generate qualified leads, expand key client relationships, and drive revenue growth.
  • Serve as a key business leader for the organization by cultivating relationships with owners, developers, architects, brokers, and industry partners to identify and secure new commercial construction opportunities.
  • Drive financial performance across the project portfolio, including revenue, profitability, forecasting, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Influence company policies, operational standards, and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on business planning, market strategy, and organizational development.
  • Ensure consistency in project delivery standards while driving continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, leadership, ownership, and operational excellence throughout the company.
