The Project Estimator conducts detailed analysis of contract documents to determine and validate overall project requirements. This role recognizes risks related to project-specific requirements, site, schedule, and market conditions. The Estimator solicits competitive pricing from subcontractor partners and suppliers for pursuits, and completes detailed quantity, material, and labor takeoffs from project documents. The ability to evaluate and compare multiple suppliers and subcontract partners for completeness of scope, schedule, and compliance with project documents is essential. The Estimator develops and maintains strong relationships with subcontractor partners and suppliers, and is comfortable conversing with and soliciting trades, including cold calling. This role involves attending pre-bid meetings and project walk-throughs, supporting bid runner with bid-day assignments, and performing multiple estimates concurrently under critical deadlines. The Estimator actively participates in estimate reviews with Executives, Operations Staff, Owners, and Engineers. Additionally, the Estimator assists with bid document control and documenting, organizing, and archiving all information relating to the estimate for successful transfer to the project team.
