About The Position

We are seeking a Program Management Technical Intern in our Broomfield, CO Location. Our Project Engineering Intern will support cross functional efforts in the development and integration of advanced quantum computing hardware, reporting through the Project Management Organization while working closely with scientists and engineers. This role contributes to smooth day-to-day operations by assisting with coordination activities, organizing documentation, tracking tasks and materials, taking structured technical notes, and providing hands on support for hardware builds, experiments, and debugging efforts as needed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and eager to work in a fast-paced R&D environment, with a strong technical foundation in physics, optics, engineering, hardware, systems engineering, or related fields.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in bachelor , master's or PhD program required
  • Minimum 1+ years of hardware laboratory experience (coursework inclusive)
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing a degree in physics, optics, engineering, or equivalent preferred
  • Obtaining a degree between December 2026 and June 2027
  • Interest in quantum computing and project management
  • Hands-on hardware laboratory experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication, and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities

  • Support cross functional quantum hardware programs by coordinating efforts across scientists, engineers, and project teams.
  • Track tasks and deliverables to keep fast-moving R&D work organized and on schedule.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, capturing structured notes from builds, experiments, and meetings to support future work.
  • Work alongside current Program Managers on project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and process improvements.
  • Work alongside scientists and engineers to integrate advanced quantum computing hardware.
  • Create and implement project management solutions to meet the evolving needs of our technical hardware team.
  • Own on a project that culminates in an impactful result, with a final presentation to technical and business leaders across the organization.
