About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Project Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Coordinating project timelines, budgets, construction activity, and personnel to successfully complete assigned projects Defining and executing competitive bidding strategy Specifying equipment performance and design criteria Maintaining effective communication with project team, staff, and project owners Establishing accountability through understanding applicable codes and guidelines to ensure designs meet codes, guidelines, and standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (completed and verified prior to start)
Three (3) years of experience in project management in a private, public, government or military environment
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Provide education and work history, either by uploading a resume or entering the information into the application fields directly.

Nice To Haves

Possess expertise equivalent to that which would be obtained in a bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering
Prior experience with automated assembly and packaging, webline, extrusion, material handling, and inspection equipment
Prior experience with facilities mechanical or electrical equipment
Prior experience managing capital projects

Responsibilities

Coordinating project timelines, budgets, construction activity, and personnel to successfully complete assigned projects
Defining and executing competitive bidding strategy
Specifying equipment performance and design criteria
Maintaining effective communication with project team, staff, and project owners
Establishing accountability through understanding applicable codes and guidelines to ensure designs meet codes, guidelines, and standards
Complying with corporate policies, procedures and security standards while performing assigned duties
Contributing to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement.
