The Project Engineer role is a developmental position and is not intended as a long-term destination. Project Engineers spend approximately twelve months learning Corvant’s operations through on-site work, project documentation and controls, and introductory exposure to scheduling, procurement, and project financials, without carrying Assistant Project Manager-level responsibility. Each Project Engineer is assigned a Program Sponsor — a tenured field leader who provides day-to-day coaching, models Corvant’s standards for safety, quality, communication, and ownership, and contributes input to each performance review. Performance is reviewed on a four-month cadence. At the conclusion of the development period, Project Engineers who meet the advancement criteria below progress into either an Assistant Project Manager or an Assistant Superintendent role, based on demonstrated strengths, interests, performance, and business needs.
