Requirements

  • People and project management skills and abilities.
  • Refined organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks for self, team, and projects.
  • Outstanding communication skills (listening, presenting, interpersonal and written).
  • Advanced mathematic and reasoning ability, and strong negotiating skills.
  • Experience preferably with a general contractor.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably within the Construction Sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with (or ability to learn) Procore.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the contract from the project onset.
  • Accurately document project updates, maintain logs, and document changes as needed during the construction process.
  • Establish the appropriate purchasing plan using strong negotiation skills and make timely decisions for the company and project during buyout.
  • Support the Superintendent by posting the monthly schedule and taking appropriate action to maintain or improve schedule.
  • Create and maintain relationships with project owners, acting on their behalf, thinking proactively, and handling their needs with urgency and in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate Owner, Architect, and Contractor meetings, generating agendas and minutes.
  • Submit owner pay applications correctly and timely.
  • Maintain open communication with subcontractors.
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders, and process change orders as necessary.
  • Ensure conformity with contract documents and scope of work, and address issues of underperformance.
