The Project Engineer assists Project Managers to ensure that work installed on the project meets plan and specification requirements. This role involves a deep understanding of project plans and specifications, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, and performing value analysis and constructability reviews. The Project Engineer will communicate inconsistencies to the architect, recommend cost-saving methods, and attend project team meetings, including Owner/Architect and subcontractor coordination meetings. They will also publish weekly progress reports, update project schedules, assist in bidding, and work with the superintendent to prepare project schedules. Responsibilities include following up on approvals for shop drawings and materials, maintaining logs for various project documents, advising on concrete pours, inspecting structural reinforcing, coordinating testing, reviewing field procedures, and performing work sampling to advise on production efficiency. Compliance with all safety policies and procedures is mandatory.
