About The Position

The Project Engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support project execution and management. This includes ensuring effective communication, managing project documentation, coordinating with various stakeholders, and overseeing material procurement and cost tracking. The role requires strong organizational and technical skills, with a significant portion of the work involving jobsite activities and travel.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Excellent computer skills and extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, MS Project
  • Effective analytical, communicating, writing and organizational skills.
  • Be a proactive, organized, self-starter and be able to manage workload and priorities
  • Be of high integrity
  • Valid Driver's License, medical card, acceptable driving record to drive company vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Be available and responsive off shift/nights/weekends as needed.
  • Perform jobsite layout including survey functions.
  • Prepare and provide organized and complete project documentation to superintendents, foremen and PM's for assigned projects.
  • Prepare submittals.
  • Work closely and effectively with customers, crews, office, shop, and accounting.
  • Handle utility locates and updates.
  • Manage material procurement, including obtaining quotes, purchase orders, and order coordination.
  • Attend progress meetings and record meeting minutes.
  • Manage and prepare Change Orders.
  • Perform scheduling, schedule preparation, and updates.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports and weekly time reports as required.
  • Manage physical and electronic document control.
  • Track costs and manage project invoicing, including preparation of T&M billings and claims.
  • Proficiently utilize Foundation Accounting Software for job costing, payroll, and T&M billing.
  • Create CAD and other technical drawings as required.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure work compliance with plans and specifications (QC).
  • Maintain a Record Set of Contract Documents on the jobsite as required.
  • Maintain current inventory of equipment and material onsite.
  • Maintain organized Progress Photos.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Project Manager/Superintendent.
