About The Position

Winter Environmental is seeking an Entry-Level Project Engineer to support environmental remediation, demolition, abatement, and industrial projects across the Southeast and Eastern United States. This is a hands-on role designed for individuals looking to build a long-term career in construction and environmental services. The position provides exposure to estimating, project management, field operations, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client communication on technically challenging projects. The ideal candidate is organized, motivated, willing to travel, and eager to learn in a fast-paced project environment. Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in: Construction Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Or related field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Bluebeam, Smart devices and cloud-based platforms
  • Willingness to travel for projects as needed
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or co-op experience in construction, environmental, or industrial services
  • Experience reviewing construction drawings or specifications
  • Familiarity with estimating or project scheduling software
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER or OSHA 10/30 certifications (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings
  • Assist with estimating, budgeting, and quantity takeoffs
  • Solicit and coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Support development of project work plans, schedules, and logistics planning
  • Track addenda, RFIs, clarifications, and bid documentation
  • Assist with preparation of proposals and bid submissions
  • Attend site visits and document existing conditions
  • Support field operations and project management teams
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and field personnel
  • Assist with project documentation, reporting, and cost tracking
