About The Position

As a Project Engineer at Choate Construction, you play a critical role in supporting the successful planning and execution of construction projects while developing the foundational skills necessary for long-term growth within the organization. This position is designed for early-career construction professionals who are eager to build expertise in project management, field coordination, and operational execution. You assist with project planning, document control, subcontract administration, schedule tracking, cost management, and quality assurance, working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and trade partners to keep projects on track. Through hands-on involvement and mentorship, you help ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. In addition to supporting day-to-day project operations, you actively contribute to effective communication among stakeholders and play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with clients and project partners, positioning yourself for continued advancement within Choate Construction.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of construction projects by coordinating schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in managing subcontractors and vendors, helping to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and in alignment with project specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to monitor budgets, control costs, and identify solutions to keep projects moving forward.
  • Maintain strong communication across project teams, proactively addressing issues and helping to keep all stakeholders informed.
  • Contribute to quality assurance efforts by reviewing drawings, submittments, and field work to ensure compliance with design and company standards.
  • Take ownership of your professional growth by building technical knowledge, strengthening relationships, and developing the skills needed to advance within Choate Construction.
