About The Position

Leader of Program Management Team (Iron Triangle). The Project Engineer works with the Product Development Engineer and Advance Quality Engineer to quote, develop and launch new automotive glass products for OEMs. The PM will communicate directly with the customer on all matters concerning the initial launch of the program. Represent Fuyao at customer development events and meetings. Maintain documents in accordance with Fuyao policies, APQP and Customer deliverables. New Product Launch - Automotive Glass (Mainly encapsulation) - Capable of handling OEM Customers and multiple programs/window openings. Internal leader of Iron Triangle and OEM program. Several forms of communication are required: face-to-face meetings, emails, texts, WeChat, verbal, written forms, etc. Key Player / Value stream leader for the OEM customer - "Voice of the Customer" for internal processes and proceedings. Organize internal teammates and processes to fulfill and support customer deliverables. Thoroughly understands purchasing procedure process and anticipates and handles any problems and questions pursuant to customer satisfaction. Maintaining the program budget and timing is a central requirement. This includes components, tooling, equipment and packaging purchases and development. Responsible for COST: from Quote to Invoice. Provide direction and support to program team (Fuyao Automotive North America and China), including scheduling meetings, updating open issues list, and any other project-related information. Creator of timing charts, ensure ON TIME delivery of products to the customer. Back-up plan and expedited delivery schedules. Offset of delays Monitor and report on the progress of the project to all stakeholders, including reporting to company management. Attending engineering change meetings as needed at customer assembly and technical center. Responsible for implementing the engineering change in the plant. Within the first 90 days - acquire product and process knowledge - commensurate with leadership role. Understand and be able to present to customer management core product lines. Other duties as assigned by management. Ability to work overtime depending on program timing and be multi-functional. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Management
  • MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • MS Project skilled.
  • Outlook is the email client.
  • Use of Skype, and SharePoint navigation.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with MRP/ERP software.
  • Currently using Oracle
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to work overtime depending on program timing and be multi-functional.
  • Ability to move around the office environment and on the production floor and the ability to work at a computer workstation is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • IATF/APQP/PPAP training preferred.

  • Maintain the program budget and timing, including components, tooling, equipment and packaging purchases and development.
  • Manage COST from Quote to Invoice.
  • Provide direction and support to the program team, including scheduling meetings and updating open issues lists.
  • Create timing charts to ensure ON TIME delivery of products to the customer.
  • Develop back-up plans and expedited delivery schedules to offset delays.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of the project to all stakeholders, including company management.
  • Attend engineering change meetings at customer assembly and technical centers as needed.
  • Implement engineering changes in the plant.
  • Acquire product and process knowledge within the first 90 days.
