About The Position

This position is located in a manufacturing plant and is designed to provide the incumbent with manufacturing exposure for positions of greater responsibility. The role involves assisting in the monitoring and execution of the Engineering Department and Plant safety programs. The Project Engineer will fulfill the Project Manager role in preparing and following to completion all assigned Capital Authorities and Job Sheet requests. Utilizing technical training, the role advises on and designs various process improvements as required by the operating department. Additionally, the position assists Engineering Department supervision on routine maintenance assignments and follow-ups required for daily operations, and assists the Engineering Manager in planning and implementing routine and non-routine maintenance expenditures. The role involves exposure to direct supervision of plant engineering crews and outside contractors.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering required.
  • Proficient computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, Drafting etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be a self-starter, detailed-oriented, and have the ability to work both independently and within a team to meet deadlines.

  • Prior full-time or co-op/intern experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
