About The Position

We have an in-house Architectural Finishes & Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer for our Charlotte regional office, with the role based full-time in Louisville, KY.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the commercial construction field, ideally including multifamily, paired with a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • A working understanding of construction cost accounting.
  • Computer skills required: Procore, scheduling software (P6 preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong proficiency using the Procore project management system.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to develop and maintain schedules in P6 is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with PMs and Superintendents on the day-to-day operations of construction sites.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
  • Working with submittals, RFIs, and change management.
  • Assisting in contract buyouts.
  • Working with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Developing project schedules and phasing plans.
  • Attending and documenting project meetings.
  • Supporting projects with exposure to multifamily construction environments.
