About The Position

Brayman Construction Corporation, a leading heavy civil and geotechnical contractor, is seeking a full-time mid-level Project Engineer to join our growing team in the Hinton, WV area. Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software (particularly Excel).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to new challenges.
  • Must be willing and able to travel or relocate as necessary for projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of transportation/highway construction methods, sequencing, and DOT specifications is preferred.
  • Experience with various types of heavy civil, transportation/highway, or geotechnical work including, but not limited to, roadway construction, bridges, asphalt paving, concrete paving, drainage systems, mass concrete, post-tensioning, dams, drilling, soil nails, caissons, tie backs, shotcrete, and slurry walls is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project takeoffs and documentation
  • Prepare project proposals
  • Obtain quotes from suppliers
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, quality control personnel, operations, and management staff
  • Assist with coordination and execution of transportation and highway construction projects including roadway, bridge, drainage, and utility work
  • Use exceptional organizational skills for effective project management
  • Leverage interpersonal and communication skills for successful task completion
