About The Position

Plan, coordinate, and lead full lifecycle engineering of mechatronic door modules (DMs) and window regulators (WRs), including project request for information (RFI), quotation, development, validation, rampup, launch, Start of Production (SOP), series production, and End of Production (EOP), and ensure technical excellence and timely delivery for OEM vehicle maker customer. Remote with Travel. The role does not require employee to be on-site at a Brose facility to perform most effectively. The role enables them to work off-site (Anywhere CA) on a permanent basis; however, this position is subject to travel requirement to OEM customer’s Fremont, CA facility 4-5 days per week (6 hours per day) to represent Brose in door module (DM) and window regulator (WR) engineering development projects including meetings with customer Mechanical Design Engineers and collaboration with Brose Program Managers and Sales Managers, on Brose product lifecycle events; engineering deliverables; quality issues; customer and Brose engineering changes; new product geometries for future vehicles; and product industrialization and launch timing at Brose plant in Mexico.

Requirements

  • Bachelor, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related.
  • Three months’ experience as Engineer, Intern, or related, coordinating or leading full lifecycle engineering of door module (DM) or window regulator (WR), including project validation, launch, and Start of Production (SOP), and ensuring timely delivery for OEM customer, or related.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead full lifecycle engineering of mechatronic door modules (DMs) and window regulators (WRs), including project request for information (RFI), quotation, development, validation, rampup, launch, Start of Production (SOP), series production, and End of Production (EOP)
  • Ensure technical excellence and timely delivery for OEM vehicle maker customer
  • Represent Brose in door module (DM) and window regulator (WR) engineering development projects
  • Attend meetings with customer Mechanical Design Engineers
  • Collaborate with Brose Program Managers and Sales Managers on Brose product lifecycle events, engineering deliverables, quality issues, customer and Brose engineering changes, new product geometries for future vehicles, and product industrialization and launch timing at Brose plant in Mexico
