About The Position

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be part of our Industrial team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to assist the commercial team in identifying applications and provide technical support on sales calls. You will work with customers to develop products and finalize specifications for their applications. You will coordinate all project related activities with internal teams after award of business including requirements management, design, project timing, customer communication, fabrication and component procurement. Responsibilities include generation and approval of designs in both Pro-Engineer (Creo) and AutoCAD, performing mechanical and structural calculations, specification of materials, heat treatment, machining and fabrication methods, and specifications for machine controls (both pneumatic and electrical), including outsourcing of electrical panel work as required. You will also participate in technical presentations to educate and train customers, develop test protocols and support product testing as required, and provide technical support after award of business including troubleshooting and change management. You will be responsible for all product realization deliverables per the Quality Management System (feasibility, design studies, APQP deliverables as required) and support the engineering department on specific projects to support the overall technical growth of the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in project engineering with direct customer interaction.
  • 5+ years experience with electrical systems and machine controls
  • Machine Design
  • Strong Drafting and 3D Pro-Engineer (Creo)
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design principles
