Another Source is proud to partner with Sabey Construction, Inc. (SCI) to recruit a Project Engineer to join their growing team in Austin. This is a hands-on opportunity to support the delivery of complex, high-impact construction projects—working alongside experienced builders on mission-critical work that demands precision, innovation, and reliability. You won’t just be coordinating from the sidelines—you’ll be deeply involved across the full project lifecycle, gaining exposure to technically challenging builds like data centers, advanced commercial spaces, and life sciences facilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project workflows
  • 1–2 years of construction experience preferred
  • Familiarity with construction management and scheduling software preferred
  • MEP exposure or interest is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to learning and growth
  • Interest in leveraging emerging technologies, including AI tools, in construction workflows

Responsibilities

  • Supporting estimating and purchasing efforts, including development of bid packages and baseline schedules
  • Managing RFIs and coordinating responses with architects and engineers of record
  • Processing, tracking, and maintaining subcontractor and vendor submittals
  • Maintaining and distributing project plans, logs, and critical documentation
  • Coordinating special inspections and ensuring proper documentation and compliance
  • Assisting with building permits and jurisdictional requirements
  • Documenting weekly project meetings and tracking key action items
  • Reviewing subcontractor change orders for scope alignment and pricing accuracy
  • Providing field support to superintendents to ensure quality and contract compliance
  • Interfacing with clients, consultants, and trade partners to support project execution
