The Project Engineer assists Project Managers to ensure that work installed on the project meets plan and specification requirements. This role involves reviewing project plans, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals, as well as performing value analysis and constructability reviews. The Project Engineer also plays a key role in communication, cost-saving recommendations, meeting coordination, progress reporting, and schedule updates. Additionally, this position supports bidding processes, assists in developing scope of work for trade contractors, and works with superintendents on project scheduling and execution. Responsibilities extend to ensuring compliance with specifications for concrete pours, structural reinforcing, and field installations, as well as observing and advising on work methods for efficiency and safety.
