This role is responsible for supporting project management while gaining sufficient experience to take on future project responsibility. The Project Engineer deals directly with Field Sales Organizations, Sales Offices and End Customers by providing technical and commercial sales support, ensuring clear communication of project requirements to the supply organization, and clarifying all order related issues. The position also coordinates source inspection, customer status reporting, customer documentation, global drop ship requirements, and special export requirements including knowledge and execution of US government regulations for global logistics. The role involves reading and interpreting customer requirements and specifications, reviewing and processing orders to ensure consistency with quotations, and creating clear demand requirements in the order management system. Furthermore, the Project Engineer ensures all exceptions, clarifications, and changes to contracts are addressed, documented, and approved by the customer, and communicates these requirements to relevant departments such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an Engineering discipline, specifically Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial
  • Good oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Intermediate level knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Support project management while gaining sufficient experience to take on future project responsibility
  • Perform order and document management
  • Conduct order preparation
  • Expedite orders
  • Handle written and oral communication pertaining to projects
  • Periodically attend task force meetings to review and update management of potential issues relative to a given project
  • Assist Project Managers with issuing monthly reports as required to management
  • Deal directly with Field Sales Organizations, Sales Offices and End Customers by providing technical and commercial sales support
  • Ensure clear communication of project requirements to the supply organization
  • Clarify all order related issues
  • Coordinate source inspection as well as customer status reporting, customer documentation, global drop ship requirements, special export requirements including knowledge and execution of US government regulations for global logistics
  • Read and interpret customer requirements and specifications to identify all requirements, including valve, actuator, accessory, functional, documentation, commercial, and shipping requirements, etc.
  • Review and process orders ensuring order is consistent with quotation, all policies have been invoked, and create clear demand requirements in order management system to deliver those requirements within the timeframe promised
  • Insure all exceptions and/or clarifications and changes to contract are addressed, documented, and approved by the customer
  • Make the applicable departments (Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, etc.) aware of these requirements
