About The Position

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be part of our Manufacturing Engineering team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to implement Deviations and change notices (CN) in SAP. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure the effective execution of plant budget development and management, including asset implementation at project close. You will be responsible for the timely release of engineering documentation including drawings, bills of material, quality critical features, and related documents to support proper execution by plant resources. You will also manage product cost tracking and savings from prototype through implementation, develop robust manufacturing processes through the application of PFMEA, SMED & poke-a-yoke principles, and ensure SQA-015 approval of all new components. Additionally, you will establish Quality Assurance equipment and documentation including Incoming Quality Control, In Process Quality Control, End-Of-Line Testing, and Finished Stock Audit requirements. You will coordinate and lead all sample builds including Prototype, ESL, MSL, and Pilot builds, in an efficient and organized manner. You will identify and communicate risks and concerns related to product quality and/or project schedule, facilitate effective communication among all internal and external team members, and manage engineering and product changes effectively to minimize excess and obsolete inventory. You will perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated project management and implementation experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Five or more years of experience in Molding Manufacturing preferred
  • Strong understanding of Injection Molding Principles
  • Experience with Mold construction preferred
  • Experience in at least two of the following disciplines preferred: Production, Quality, Materials, Design or Manufacturing
