About The Position

Responsible for reviewing and administrating RFIs, Submittals, Drawings, and ASIs. In addition to these, also assist the project manager in doing quantity take offs for the change orders. Assist assistant project managers and project manager with keeping the project on schedule by being a bridge between them and the subcontractors. Coordinating day to day construction site activities with the site superintendents. Supervise construction finishes of multifamily project including tiling finishes, flooring finishes, cabinetry finishes, and project quality control. Participated in OAC meetings and safety stand down meetings with the subcontractors. Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in coordinating construction deliveries to help keep project schedule on track. Responsible for most of the closeout procedure for the construction project including obtaining and reviewing closeout documents like O&Ms, Manufacturer Warranties, As-builts, and Attic Stock from subcontractors. Responsible for preconstruction project bidding, bid leveling for different construction projects. Including helping the Preconstruction Directors in making budgets for the projects. Perform plan review for the preconstruction projects to help the design team in developing the construction plan set. May work at various, unanticipated sites throughout Pacific Northwest.

Requirements

  • The position requires a Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a Project Engineer-related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a Project Engineer-related occupation.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in cost estimating and quantity take off.
  • Demonstrable ability to read and understand construction plans including architectural plans, mechanical plans, landscaping plans, electrical plans, plumbing plans, civil plans, structural concrete plans, structural wood frame plans, fire alarm system plans, security system plans, pool design plans, and interior finishes design plan.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in reading and understanding construction project specifications.
  • Demonstrable experience with project management using Procore.
  • Demonstrable ability to write subcontracts.
  • Demonstrable ability to understand and manage specific project schedule.
  • Demonstrable ability to coordinate and work with state, and city officials having jurisdictional oversite of construction project.
  • Demonstrable experience scheduling updates using MS Projects.
  • Demonstrable experience with project bid tracking using Building Connected.
  • May work at various, unanticipated sites throughout Pacific Northwest.
