Primary Function Lead cross-functional engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery while maintaining compliance with Abbott standards, FDA regulations, and infant formula quality requirements. This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical field
  • 3–5 years of engineering and project management experience (capital/infrastructure projects preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, construction methods, and delivery systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with MS Project or Primavera, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of contract administration and procurement
  • PMP certification (preferred, not required)
  • Familiarity with Design Control, GDP, cGMP, GAMP5, and FDA Computer Software Assurance (CSA)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full project lifecycle including initiation, design, construction, and closeout
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies
  • Prepare and review engineering designs, technical specifications, and construction documents
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, permitting, and environmental requirements
  • Oversee construction, perform site inspections, and resolve field issues
  • Track project progress and communicate status to stakeholders
  • Manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Support capital planning and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Accountable for meeting compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
