About The Position

Deliver a customer interface experience where you serve as the single-point-of-contact to assigned generation developers. Provide status and next steps regarding their proposed transmission generation interconnection projects. This involves conducting periodic meetings with the interconnection generation developer(s), coordinating with regional transmission operators (RTO’s), reaching out to internal subject management experts for guidance, tracking interconnection engineering studies, submitting study results to RTO’s and taking ownership to addressing interconnection questions in the most safe, efficient and cost-effective manner

Requirements

  • Possesses knowledge and experience in customer management to deliver excellent customer experience.
  • Knowledge of or experience working with customer interconnections.
  • Familiar with distribution or transmission engineering or operations.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of appropriate policies and procedures; however, activities are generally monitored by higher-level employees to ensure work is performed in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Demonstrates ability to work with others in both supplying information in a timely manner and seeking assistance as necessary.
  • Demonstrates willingness and capabilities to assume leadership roles with the generation developers assigned.
  • Actively seeks out information and understanding of engineering problems and solution techniques applicable to transmission generation interconnections.
  • Use initiative in looking for opportunities and presenting new ideas and new approaches.
  • Follows up with developers in an expedient manner to address any of their questions or concerns.
  • Updates data systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Set expectations with those you interface with and manage those expectations by following up and ensuring timelines are adhered to.

  • Those having some experience with any of the following: Customer Service, project management, system planning, system operations, engineering design, or regulatory knowledge is highly desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management services to the developer for projects with guidance from higher-level engineers.
  • Coordinates work activities of others as required to resolve routine engineering tasks.
  • Provides input to the project status meetings, monitors project status and recommends action accordingly.
  • Prepares cost estimates using established standards and estimating tools.
  • Continuously informs and provides status to developers and others involved in the generation interconnection process.
  • Assists and participates in the preparation of reports and submittal to RTO’s.
  • Serve generation developers by being their go-to when they have questions or need guidance.
