About The Position

The Project Engineer supports construction execution by managing project documentation, maintaining key project controls, and coordinating information flow between field and office teams. This role ensures that construction teams have accurate, timely information and that project records remain complete, organized, and audit-ready. The Project Engineer plays a central role in maintaining discipline across RFIs, submittals, change management, and close-out documentation—directly supporting schedule reliability, cost control, and successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Degree or relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Familiarity with construction documentation and project controls
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized project files and document control systems
  • Track drawings, specifications, and revisions
  • Ensure current and accurate documents are accessible to field teams
  • Log, track, and route RFIs and submittals
  • Follow up to ensure timely responses and approvals
  • Support change documentation and tracking
  • Assist with schedule updates and progress tracking
  • Support cost tracking, change logs, and reporting
  • Coordinate with cost and procurement teams as needed
  • Serve as a communication bridge between field and office teams
  • Support superintendents with documentation and information needs
  • Help resolve information gaps impacting construction progress
  • Support punch list tracking and close-out documentation
  • Assist with as-built collection and turnover materials
  • Ensure records are complete for project completion
