Defines, manages, and communicates the SAP release schedule across development, quality assurance, and production environments for routine, emergency, and major project deployments. Governs the implementation of the release calendar and ensures compliance with best practices to minimize operational risk during deployments. Communicates and coordinates release planning, testing, tracking, process, changes, and risks for Major, Standalone, Standard, Emergency, and Planned release types. Manages cross-review and analysis of on-going parallel releases, architectural and engineering changes, multiple environment deployments, and changes in direction from portfolio and program levels. Oversees SAP transport sequencing, dependency checks, import logs, and risk mitigations to prevent transport overwrite and dual-maintenance issues. Chairs or contributes to Change and Release Manager Board meetings, evaluating business risk, downtime requirements, and rollback plans. Coordinates with dedicated technical team members across the change and release organization to ensure smooth release deliveries to production. Assists with the development, communication, and coordination of a centralized Release Management and Transport Management process for all release types. Maintains documentation related to change and release management, release calendars, governance board documentation, and process documentation. Works incidents and trouble tickets, coordinates plans, tracks issues, and leads root-cause analysis for release-related incidents.
