Requirements

  • Understanding of construction operations, project management principles, and heavy civil construction practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to access all areas of active construction sites in varying climates and environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in heavy civil construction, earthwork, utilities, concrete, or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with project budgeting, cost tracking, scheduling, and subcontract administration.
  • Experience with: HCSS HeavyBid AGTEK Earthwork Software Microsoft Project
  • Understanding of project controls, forecasting, and construction financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project budgets, including labor, equipment, subcontractors, and material costs.
  • Support and coordinate field operations involving structural concrete, concrete flatwork, site utilities, and mass earthwork.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and quantity tracking throughout project execution.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor project schedules.
  • Issue, administer, and manage subcontracts.
  • Assist with monthly progress billings and project forecasting.
  • Identify, document, and manage project changes and change orders.
  • Collaborate with Accounting on accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
  • Monitor project costs, productivity, and financial performance.
  • Coordinate with field teams to ensure accurate project documentation and reporting.
  • Participate in project planning, procurement, and project closeout activities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Split time between the office and field to support successful project delivery.
