About The Position

Westinghouse is seeking a Project Engineer to join their innovative team and contribute to the company's mission of providing clean energy solutions. The Project Engineer will lead manufacturing projects from contract award through final delivery, collaborating closely with teams such as supply chain, project controls, design, and quality engineering to ensure the successful execution of fabrication, machining, and inspection activities. This role is 100% onsite and reports to the Engineering Manager in Newington, NH.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 2+ years of experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft and CAD software.
• Interpret engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with CNC machining processes, welding technology, dimensional inspection, and NDE processes.

Responsibilities

• Interpret purchase orders, specifications, and engineering drawings to define manufacturing processes.
• Develop and issue purchase requisitions for raw materials and components observing contract requirements.
• Create detailed manufacturing flow charts and support project controls in developing production schedules.
• Prepare shop travelers to guide fabrication, machining, and inspection operations.
• Partner with operations teams on fixture design and process optimization.
• Lead pre-job briefings on critical manufacturing tasks.
• Investigate and resolve non-conformances in collaboration with other teams and external customers.
• Provide on-the-floor technical support to operations, ensuring resolution of issues.
