About The Position

Project Engineer’s play a vital role in project planning and construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. This position offers a dynamic blend of office and field tasks, providing valuable hands-on experience on projects ranging from residential piers and floating docks, to large scale heavy marine construction for Federal and State agencies throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
  • Previous experience or internship in heavy civil or marine construction is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Daily interaction with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Craft personnel to support planning, scheduling, material procurement, and subcontractor management.
  • Technical review of Plans and Specifications to ensure compliance with all contract requirements.
  • Site inspections for quality, safety, and daily work progress and cost coding.
  • Preparation of submittals, RFI’s, payment requests, and Change Orders.
