About The Position

Villani Landshapers is seeking a Project Engineer to support our commercial landscape construction team by keeping projects organized, on schedule, and on budget. This is a primarily office-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating people, paperwork, schedules, and logistics behind the scenes to ensure successful project delivery. This position can provide a clear pathway to a Project Manager or similar advancement role within approximately 2–3 years.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of landscape construction or related construction experience
  • Enjoy organization, planning, and keeping multiple priorities on track
  • Comfortable working in an office environment while collaborating with field operations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and eager to learn new software
  • Think critically, solve problems, and take initiative
  • Want to build a long-term career with opportunities for advancement

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with Project Managers, Operations, Designers, and Foremen
  • Reviewing contracts and project plans to support material ordering and scheduling
  • Preparing work orders, change orders, project documentation, and field paperwork
  • Monitoring job costs and assisting with project financial reporting
  • Coordinating equipment and material deliveries with internal departments
  • Managing submitters and helping prepare as-built documentation
  • Supporting warranty claims and project closeout activities
  • Creating reports and assisting with final job cost analysis
  • Communicating proactively with clients, vendors, and team members
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
  • Participating in winter snow operations as needed
