The Project Engineer will support operations through the engineering, design, optimization, and execution of food-manufacturing production systems. The role focuses on improving productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety across tortilla, chip, and related product lines. Responsibilities include designing and integrating mechanical, electrical, communications, and control systems; developing and optimizing plant layouts; managing project implementation; and ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Two years of experience in the job offered or in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Two years of experience in designing or optimizing industrial production systems.
  • Two years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and control-system integration.
  • Two years of experience in project management in industrial settings.
  • Two years of experience in reading and developing technical layouts and engineering drawings.
  • Two years of experience in applying industrial engineering principles (process improvement, efficiency, throughput optimization).
  • Two years of experience in regulatory compliance in industrial operations.
  • Two years of experience in managing capital-expenditure (CapEx) projects.
  • Two years of experience with industrial equipment procurement and vendor evaluation.

Nice To Haves
