About The Position

The Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing all production operations to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, on time, and in accordance with quality standards. This role provides leadership to production team members, drives continuous improvement initiatives, manages staffing and resources, and ensures compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and operational objectives. This role focuses on planning, coordinating, and executing process improvement initiatives and requires a broad base of engineering experience and technical knowledge, particularly in mechanical systems and manufacturing processes, to support operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and project execution across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing capital projects and equipment installations.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA requirements, and manufacturing best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering projects from concept through completion.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate equipment installations, machinery upgrades, and production line improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers during project execution.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to management.
  • Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning and budgeting activities.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure projects meet regulatory, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Assist with commissioning, validation, and startup of new equipment and processes.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials related to projects.
