About The Position

RPM xConstruction, LLC is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our Paving Division. This role will be responsible for preparing, organizing, and following up on project procurement.

Requirements

Degree in Construction Management/Engineering
Skilled in use of computer and software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to learn new software.
Demonstrates solid communication, customer service skills, and verbal/written skills with all levels of company personnel and outside vendors/suppliers.
Ability to present in a large meeting or training environment.
Demonstrates high level of organization and attention to detail.
Position spends approximately 90% of time sitting at a desk and 10% standing or walking.
Must be available for work 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday, with some varied hours as projects require.

Responsibilities

Reviews & approves invoice categories
Works with estimators identifying scope gaps and tracks to ensure items are properly covered prior to project starting.
Tracks daily quantities for analysis.
Reviews and corrects Heavy Job production quantities as needed.
Development and tracking of short interval project schedules.
Manage subcontractor scopes and payment applications.
Setup and maintains PCO log and subcontract change orders.
Issues submittals and RFIs. Thoroughly tracks the status of each.
Provides direction or oversight as needed.
Assists project manager with deliverables for both internal and external review.
Maintains utility locates, permits and approvals.
Acquires, tracks & returns water meters.
Observes and learns field processes to gain a better understanding of how the work is built.
