Position Summary: DZYNE has an immediate need for a talented Project Engineer capable of supporting both on-going and emerging federal defense and commercial contracts. Desired work location is Irvine, CA. This position requires experience in executing federal research and development (R&D) contracts. This position requires a person that can both develop process and work within defined procedures, to include government requirements. The successful candidate must have experience interfacing with a wide range of internal disciplines, customers, and active subcontractors. Specific demonstrated experience in project financials tracking, data and hardware deliverable management, and subcontractor management is desired. The successful candidate will have a background with experience in projects in the Government or Defense Contracting Industry.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 - 5 years of industry experience as directly supporting or leading project execution of design and development programs
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and technicians in defense or aerospace industries
• Experience in executing federal research and development (R&D) contracts
• Ability to develop process and work within defined procedures, to include government requirements
• Experience interfacing with a wide range of internal disciplines, customers, and active subcontractors
• Demonstrated experience in project financials tracking, data and hardware deliverable management, and subcontractor management
• Background with experience in projects in the Government or Defense Contracting Industry
• Positive, “can-do” attitude and talent/experience leading people and cultivating healthy relationships
• Proven ability, capacity, and aptitude with planning, organizing, coordinating technical work, and obtaining cooperation from others
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient organizational and documentation skills
• Working knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office Professional Suite
• Bachelor's degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current of future employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Supporting or leading project execution of design and development programs
