Requirements

  • Minimum 2-year degree (Associates) in related field or equivalent, 4-year degree (Bachelor) preferred
  • 3 to 5 years experience as an Engineer in production is required, preferably within the plastics industry
  • Technical Engineering background is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and skills
  • Mechanical and electrical skills
  • Knowledge of packaging systems
  • Ability to create engineering drawings
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Thorough understanding of technical aspects of different types of equipment
  • Travel within the US up to 70% or more is expected

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma (Green belt or Black Belt), preferred, not required
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred, not required
  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) preferred, not required

Responsibilities

  • Designs layouts of equipment
  • Assists in specifying new production equipment including researching of available providers, determination of specifications, obtaining quotations, recommending purchases, performing factory-acceptance-tests, arranging installation, completing startup, training, and performance qualification.
  • Assists Automation team to find the ideal setup for the Factory flow
  • Liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Drafts and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Identifies and negotiates with other Internal functional areas for required personnel.
  • Tracks project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
