This is an excellent opportunity for a current Project Assistant, Project Coordinator, or early-career Project Engineer — preferably with landscape construction experience, though candidates from related trades such as concrete, civil, grading, site development, or specialty construction are also encouraged to apply. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination, project engineering, or project assistant roles required
  • Strong understanding of: Submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, Daily Reports, T&M Tickets, Plan and Specification interpretation, Project documentation and reporting, Estimating and takeoffs
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Landscape construction experience preferred; candidates from related construction trades with transferable experience are also encouraged to apply
  • Experience with prevailing wage and union projects preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in managing commercial landscape construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Support union and prevailing wage projects including schools and public works work
  • Handle submittals, RFIs, change orders, T&M tickets, daily reports, and project documentation
  • Review and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Coordinate deliveries, equipment, vendors, subcontractors, and field communication
  • Track and maintain DIG alerts and project compliance documentation
  • Participate in job site meetings and assist with field coordination/site walks
  • Maintain project documentation standards and support project reporting
  • Communicate regularly with field personnel, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Support estimating, takeoffs, and pre-construction coordination as needed
